MS-Clean™ C18-C8-CN

C18 terminated octadecyl

Extraction of nonpolar compounds

C18 (capped) is octadecyl silica gel, which retains nonpolar compounds through strong hydrophobic action. The filler can retain most of the organic matter and is widely used in the fields of environment and food safety.

High carbon load, strong hydrophobicity

Full coverage of terminations to reduce interference of alkaline and polar compounds

Can withstand high pH environment

parameter

Carbon content: 17.6%

C8 octyl

Extraction of nonpolar compounds

C8 is a kind of medium hydrophobic reversed phase silica gel matrix filler, through hydrophobic interaction, with the retention of non-polar compounds. Compared with C18 packing, C8 packing has shorter carbon chain and weaker nonpolar hydrophobic interaction. If C18 is used to make non-polar target difficult to elute, C8 can be used instead.

parameter

Carbon content: 9%

Specific surface area: 280 m²/g

Particle size: 40-75μm

Average aperture: 100Å

application

-Extraction of fat soluble and water soluble vitamins from plasma

-Determination of hormone residues in meat

-Detection of pesticide residues in waste

Desalination of a pair of biomacromolecules

Moderate hydrophobicity

Extractable substances over retained on C18

Cn cyanopropyl

CN (cyanopropyl) is a kind of weak hydrophobic silica based filler, which can be used as a positive phase or reverse phase adsorbent. Under the condition of reverse phase, non-polar or weak polar acid, intermediate and basic compounds were extracted from aqueous solution. Under the condition of normal phase, polar compounds were extracted from nonpolar organic solution. In addition, cyanopropyl, as a complex ligand, can enrich some metal ions in aqueous solution.

Cn is a more suitable choice for the strong hydrophobic substances with irreversible binding on C18 stationary phase.

Good compatibility with biological matrix

Polarity can be adjusted by solvent ratio
